Why Choose Electric?

Here at Evolve Auto, we are passionate about plug-in vehicles and their impact on the future of the auto industry. Yet still, many common misperceptions may dissuade buyers from choosing an EV where it may be an excellent choice for them. When we started Evolve Auto, we had two goals in mind:

1: increase the availability of plug-in vehicles to the public and

2: educate others about the benefits of switching to EVs.

The auto industry is rapidly Evolving, with more automakers pledging each day to expand their production of EVs. Below are just a few of the reasons why there is no better time than now to get plugged in!

Minimal Maintenance Costs

Between oil changes, brake pads and the cost of filling up the tank of an internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle, the cost of maintenance adds up quickly. Add in a transmission replacement and you are quickly out thousands of dollars. With EVs, the cost of maintenance is minimal. The average EV owner is estimated to save almost $800 a year just on fuel costs alone and drivers never have to schedule oil changes, timing belt replacements, or other engine tune up items.

The Fun Factor
The Tesla Model S is rated the fastest accelerating production car and even lower cost options like a Nissan LEAF or Kia Soul EV are just as fun to drive due to the instant torque and efficient power of an electric motor. EVs also have a low center of gravity, which improves handling, responsiveness to acceleration, and ride comfort safety-zone

Charging Convenience
Despite what you may have heard about charging times for EVs, there is a good chance that driving electric will save you time. EVs can easily be charged overnight in the comfort of your own home, saving you time (and $) that would be spent at the pump. Most drivers will likely only need to charge their car every 2-3 days since the range on many EVs is higher than the miles of your average commute.

Environmental Impact
Because they run on an electric motor instead of a gasoline engine, plug-in vehicles produce zero emissions and are responsible for far less greenhouse gases and air pollutants over their lifetime. This is even after considering the production of the vehicle and the generation of the electricity required to fuel them.
